Need to cut about 3mm off the axel with a hand saw and it’s perfection.

For those of you who have Recaro Sportster CS in your car, what do I need to buy to fit them properly, low and able to adjust them?
Highline Autos is an official RECARO retailer so let me shed some light here. The seats in the yellow car with the carbon fiber backs are the standard **** from RECARO, the "gear ****" in the tan interior is aftermarket. I think the issue is upon instal, the seat had been maneuvered in a way the sill carpeting was pulled up and out, and is no longer flush as it would have been prior to instal, that is where the majority of the rubbing and clearance issue is coming from.

You can reach me at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any other RECARO questions or are ready to order!

If you are over 6’ you need the Cantrell ***** to have the seat in the right position

My question was more about the bases. Which is the best one? I read that the BBi had to be modified to fit and I’d like to avoid that.

I actually bought Recaro sliders but they were too thin and the seat bottom rubbed on the plate.

RECARO has Porsche 997 specific frames, do you know if that was what you purchased or just the general slider track kit, inside bar, no tabs?

RECARO has specific 997 base frames available to purchase for the Sportster series, different than the general Sportster slider tracks, inside bar, no tabs.

Reviewing the "Miscellaneous" of our RECARO offerings and there is a thinner hand wheel for recline that you can order with your RECARO seats.

You can reach me at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any other RECARO questions or are ready to order!

This is very interesting, I see the side of the seat has an airbag compartment. Does the seat also come with an airbag? Is this plug a play alternative?! Please explain, these look dangerously close to the discontinued OEM Carbon buckets

The RECARO Sportster CS does not come with a built-in airbag.

There is a version of the seat that does. But the plugs won't match the OEM and to this day I still need to find someone who correctly retrofitted everything, heating and airbag, to the Porsche connector.

I believe all RECARO Sportster's post 2020 do not have an internal airbag. And if you were to purchase one today, there is not the option.

Maybe in the US, but I can get them in Europe.
