Pressing the remote control twice switches off (according to my operating instructions MK1) the interior monitoring (alarm). This function was designed for children, animals, etc. in the interior in the event of a lock. Furthermore, the interior monitoring draws almost 2A current (!) and thus more than 10% of the total current and contributes significantly to the battery problems with the 997 during longer breaks. I therefore basically got into the habit of pressing twice and as an interesting side effect i noticed that the erratic problems with the mirror had disappeared :-)

I have a 2009 Turbo so its a 997.1.5 lol. I have the updated PCM so I expect it will be the same procedure as the 997.2 cars? Anyone have this handy? Ill try and dig up a manual and see if I can find it there if not.

Thanks
