What mileage does everyone put on their 997 annually?

3k on mine and my wife's. She used to DD hers before the kids could drive, but once my daughter got her license, she drives our pickup around more because she's always doing yard projects (plants, mulch, sod, etc) and it stays outside.
I use a 928 for a DD. With 7 cars for 2 driver's, mileage gets spread around a lot.

Around 4k.. pre COVID I would drive her a few times a month about 45 min each way to work. Miss that early morning rush.
Now working from home I tend to only take her out to speed through some back roads, drive to a car event or the track a few times a year. Seems harder and harder to find the time to enjoy as much as I would like to.
One of the mistakes I may have made was removing the rear seats for a cage. With 2 kids it really limits when I can drive the car. Kids are bigger now but for short trips to a sports event, birthday party, etc.. would be nice to squeeze them in there for some additional miles.
Drive them while you can... life changes so quickly.

I may get some flack for putting this out here, but I'm wearing my racing helmet, so please hear me out. I'd appreciate some insights on how people view this concept and how they justify the overall costs. I do over analyse things and deny myself lots of joy as a result, but here goes...
Most people discussing the bore scoring issue say they'll just drive the car and put away $25 - 30k for an engine rebuild fund. Then they'll rebuild the engine and that seems to be end of discussion, as if it's the fountain of youth and all problems are gone. I guess that's fine if you use the car once a month and only put 10000miles a year on it. If a rebuild is good for 100,000 miles, that gives you 10 years of smoke free driving.
But thinking about those who really enjoy driving these cars, that do more mileage in the car, as a daily driver, track days etc, easily putting 20,000 miles annually on it. That's just 5 years until the next rebuild. Considering some of us like to keep cars for a few years and not flip them frequently, that starts looking like an insanely expensive ownership experience.
Hypothetically, buy a C2S for and average $20,000, needing a rebuild after a year due to bore scoring and severe oil burning at $25,000, then driving 20,000 miles a year for the next 5 years, and spending $30,000 on another rebuild, that could mount to $75,000 in 6 years, for a car that's currently only worth $20k.
Am I unreasonable for expecting to keep a 997 for 7 years and enjoying it for what it is instead of putting it on a pedastil and only using it occassionally? The idea of spending a fortune in the process just sucks all the fun out of it.
I need a drink...

About 7,000 miles a year. For what I paid for it 5 years ago, with an engine rebuild (whenever that time is), the maintenance I have done, and modifications, its still worth keeping it as I wouldn't be able to replace it with anything that makes me smile this much.

I use mine as a daily and travel ~450 miles per weekend from the Boston to the Adirondacks. 8 Hours and 450 miles per weekend in my 997.1 C4 and I wish the drives were even longer so I could spend more time in the car.
I bought it with 64k miles in May 2022, now it has 68k as of late June 2022. I'd like to think I am using it how it was intended to be used, but I am definitely beginning to worry about scoring and other wear items even though there has been zero indication of any mechanical issues. I changed the oil after I put 3k miles on it, and the oil and filter were the cleanest I have ever seen.

I’ve put about 770 miles on my car in just about two months, which includes a round trip from Wilmington DE to Alexandria VA. I guess that projects to about 4500 miles per year, but I don’t plan on doing as much driving during the winter, so I’m guessing I’ll be closer to the 3500 mile range.

I do about 5k miles a year - 20k miles since I bought my 2005 S 4 years ago. It's my fair weather DD in addition to occasional weekend drives. I put about 3k miles a year on my "Daily Driver" Nissan Xterra, so the 911 gets most of my seat time.
