Default Carrera Logo Template

Hello,

when I purchased my C2.1 a few years back now it came de badged and now it’s time for a more original look by putting the OEM Carrera logo back on. A couple years back on this message forum there was a topic on this with one replying with a template with all measurements on installation of logo to perfection. Also, Should I be putting more of a sticky material on the back of the logo for a better bonding? It did come with some sort of little adhesive material but is it enough.

Thanks

If you search my posts, you will find a Thread I either started or Post I added regarding location of rear badge in 2021. I installed on my 997 C4 Cab that I owned last yr that was Badge-less in Seattle.
I used tiny tiny small dabs of clear silicone as the glue. Doesn't effect paint and worked like a charm - Tiny tiny amounts and "dots" of it so it does not spread past outer edge on letters. *Not complete smear on entire back of badge resulting in gooey mess. I used Blue painters tape to hold it all in place overnight which works great and is easily removed.
If I remember correctly about 3 tiny "dabs" spaced out evenly on each letter - At top/middle/sides.
**I believe I purposely mounted my badge a little higher than stock which to me looked much better and nobody ever could tell I raised it.
I'll see if I can find my post.

From the WSM:

As long as your badge is OEM, they stick perfectly with the double sided sticky tape/ adhesive behind the letters. It’s strong stuff. Just apply some constant pressure to the badge for a minute or two after you stick it on. I applied it in the middle of winter, so I added some heat from a heat gun to warm up the adhesive as I applied pressure but that’s probably not necessary.

I've been wondering if anyone has replaced this badge with a decal. I'd be interesting in doing that if it could look legit. When I wash my car it always catches the towel and the paint around it does't get the same treatment.

I'd do the frunk badge too but I'm pretty sure that is clipped/fastened into a couple holes.....and then am worried I wouldn't like the front badge/ rear decal pair.

I used green 3m auto tape for the placement and bought the decals from Suncoast. No need for any extra adhesive. Just washed and dried the area first. Looks great.
