It seems the door latch got stuck in lock mode. So now door cant be opened opened from the inside or the outside... any ideas??

Push on the outside of the door near the back and use your key button a couple times to try a and lock/unlock it and see if it will free up. Also try the key blade in the lock cylinder to manually move the inside lock mechanism. If neither of those work, try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting as it might reset the lock module if not mechanically damaged.

If not, this isn't going to be fun.

My neighbor just had this same problem but in a Corolla.

Any idea if the 12v battery is fully charged and holding its charge? Unpredictable stuff happens with electronics when voltages get low.

Is this the driver's side or passenger side? Worth checking the fuses.

There is probably a very experienced tach out there that has seen this happen and has an elegant no destructive way to do it.

Stuck with no mech, I would probably remove the interior door panel of the good door and see if I can see what might have failed and see if I can create a trick. Maybe requiring a slim iim down the inside of the window. Just thinkin' outloud.

Problem solved.. thanks in part to petza... installed the durametric.. tried resetting etc... but what worked was the activation feature... tried activating a number of times.... eventually the door unlocked!! Removed the actuator and just duct tape the door closed... waiting for the part to arrive... thanks all
