Default car value

I have an 08 c4s with factory aero kit. It has about 58k miles, but the engine was replaced entirely by Porsche about 15k miles ago. I'm wondering what this would do to the value. Finding an 08 4s with factory aero for sale for comp has been near impossible, and I have no idea if the new motor would add to or decrease the value

A numbers matching collector would be put off, but otherwise the new engine has got to be a positive. Should help to alleviate some bore scoring concerns if nothing else. GLWS.

At that mileage I would not worry about collectability, additionally the car is still to new to see what market will demand. If 80-90s 911s are any indication , don't think it will matter much..

In short term newish engine is plus in term of value and maybe more desirable.

The newer engine would make it more desirable.

You failed to mention the biggest drivers of value, trans and interior color.

The engine replacement would only be a positive especially since it was done by Porsche. Do you know if Porsche reset the DME after the replacement?

So the engine serial number as an AT in it? That's what Porsche does when they replace an engine in a car. No one is going to collect regular 997 Carreras, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Factory Aero coupe 6 speed at 60k miles is probably worth low to mid $50s depending on other options (full leather, PCCBs, sport seats, etc)
