997.1 S Exhaust Delete Noise
Hoping to get some advice on the following.
997.1 S Cab. 6 Speed

997.1 S Cab. 6 Speed
- Original to me: Fister Sport Exhausts, and everything else stock.
- Wanted: A ton more noise from exhaust / engine.
- Mod: Removed Fister Sport Exhausts and added Fabspeed Exhaust Delete Pipes.
- Problem: It has unwanted resonance noise between 2K & 3K RPM. I'm not sure if it's from the headers or stock catalytic converters.
- What I love: The noise this makes with exhaust delete is heaven. Upshifts & Downshift pops.
- What I dislike: The resonance in that range makes the car sound silly to me. I have not put a camera next to exhaust to record the noise, I'll do that soon so I can add it here for people to hear but to me it sounds ick to me in that range.
- Goal: To do what I can to keep exhaust delete harshness but remove the resonance in that 2K to 3K RPM range that makes it sound cheap.

Put the Fisters back on and get 200 cell sport cats.
I have Soul Performace Long tube headers and Soul performace 200 Cell sport cats with the Fisters and it sounds amazing to me.

In terms of loudness from 1 to 5 and 5 being exhaust delete loud. Where would you say your setup sits?
I realize you have a refined setup given all the upgrades. Thanks!

Because of the Fisters how you get on the throttle makes all the difference….Regular around town driving between a 2.5 - 3…..WOT solid 4….

If you're planning to get a tune and don't have to pass emissions inspections where you live, 100 cell cats will be louder and less restrictive than 200 cell cats.
