I’m running Fabspeed headers, 200 cell cats, stock side mufflers with center delete x pipe. Never had a CEL with any these tune: stock, 91,93, and 100 octane Cobb tunes.
Good advice. I am going to go with the Softronic tune. Established supplier and proven company. I will let you know how it works out!
I was going to chime in a recommend that myself. Scott is a Porsche master tech and has been tuning them for over 30 years, he is very very good and I'm sure can take care of that for you.
Bad news on this - SOCAL refunded my money, these items are out of stock.
I should finally be getting my Topspeed headers and Tubi's installed in my 997.2 this weekend. I was planning to purchase Soul or Cargraphic headers/cats but had to go with Topspeed due to long lead times with the others. I too will have a Softronic tune in an attempt to get the most out of all of the mods (exhaust, IPD, Soler TB upgrade, and Fabspeed Cold Air Intake) and hopefully to avoid any CELs. I purchased O2 spacers from Big Daddie's Garage, they showed up in a couple days and I like that they are made of quality stainless steel. http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/angled-cel-fix.html They also carry the mini-cat option, but I just went with the angled spacers which I'm hoping will be sufficient.
For those on this thread that have headers. Be sure to check your header bolts. I’m missing 2 of mine. Apparently these are notorious for backing out. According to my mechanic, he has seen it even on stock manifolds an X51 headers. If enough of them are loose or missing the remaining bolts can sheer off, leaving them stuck into the head and it is a real PITA to Extract and/or repair.
the bolt heads use an E12 socket. Otherwise known as an inverted torx.
