I’ve got a broken driver door panel on my 997. I suppose it is from the PO pulling on the top of the panel to close the door rather than the inner door pull.

I’ve found a 987 panel for a decent price.

im curious if anyone knows if I can replace the inner door pull on the 987 panel with the door pull from my 997.

 

I think they are the same but you need to swap out the door pull handle from your 997. 987 had horizontal handle and 997 has the more vertical handle.

I don't see the mounting hole for the top of the 997 handle on the 987 panel. I actually never realized there was any difference between them.

 

there is no hole on the front side, but the back frame seems to be the same. I'm pretty sure i could make a hole for the top mounting. my main curiosity is where the 997 door pull overlaps with the carpet material.

 

Never knew they were different either, but the Cayman door panel is a cleaner look
