My C2 came with turbo style wheels (NB offset) and I added spacers to get a more flush look (15mm front and 10mm rear) I’ve since replaced them with some Fuchs style wheels. I had zero rubbing with those spacers on turbo wheels. Car is lowered on Eibach springs.

I would even venture to say that someone might trade you their turbo wheels for your lobster forks. Turbo wheels seem kinda polarizing, some love/hate, while Lobsters seem well loved by most.

Ran widebody wheels on my narrow body. Looked perfect in the rear wheels.

My favorite 997 wheels too. 5mm front, 10mm rear spacers. C4S

Sigh, no...no you wouldn't Here's the deal with them and WHY I have a second set. The set in my attic came with the car, pretty trashed in some ways. There are 5 total - 3 rears and 2 fronts. One of the rears looks brand new BUT I think it was refinished as the other 4 are silver over the graphite and the "new" one is silver over black. It doesn't match the others and I don't know if Porsche ever made a silver/black set. And the inside is done in black as well and I can barely read the part number, which leads me to believe it was refinished. It looks great but it is what it is. As for the others, at least one is really bad on the edges, like mangled. It will hold air as it was on the car when my mechanic owned it. I took all of them over to my local wheel guy and he said that maybe 2 of them could be redone diamond cut but at least 2 could only be repaired and painted, not diamond cut.
I am only mentioning this to you as you are almost local - I'm in northern Illinois in Highand Park, about 35 minutes or so from Kenosha. If these are something you'd be interested in, then please feel free to reach out anytime. I certainly wouldn't be asking $2k for all 5

Another SE Wisconsin guy. Hit me up in the spring if you're interested in hitting the Driftless area. I like to take drives out there 3-4 times a summer. The more the merrier.

Kenosha Area. I'm always looking for other enthusiasts to go on drives with. If you've never been to the Driftless region, it's about as good as it gonna get in the Midwest without driving 6+ hours. Hit me up if you want to get together sometime.
