Default Bigger rotors for my C2.

I'd like to replace the stock rotors with bigger 2 piece rotors. I've done it on different cars with no issues. Bigger rotors with correct spacers to raise the calipers. Anyone done this and were you happy with the results. No tracking just for the nicer look.
Thanks.

Sorry for 'hacking' your thread; I am also want to install bigger rotors but I also don't want to change the calipers, I want to raise them.
There is a lot to find about the use of C2S calipers and C2S rotors on a 997.1 Base, but I can not find information about only raising calipers and using bigger rotors (maybe from another Porsche model ?).

just like Khloesdad for me it also is just for the looks (997.1 Base rotors looks like bicycle brakes with 19" wheels ).

Thanks in advance.

Thats my plan. I've done it on my 350z and my GTI years back. I believe it was 330mm or 350mm front and rear. 2 piece rotors and raised the calipers with supplied spacers. Looked really more appropriate.

You can run 11mm caliper spacers and then run straight 350 mm turbo rotors- 2 piece or cast your choice.

You need a pair of these for each side

And you also need enlarged caliper bolts, and that might be a very good opportunity to upgrade your caliper bolts to something better:

Great info !
Does above mentioned parts also fit on 997.1 Base (2005) ?

Thanks,

Did you do the fronts and rears? How much of a noticeable difference in braking did you feel? They look great.

Braking feel will likely be the same. Using the same calipers your not improving the clamping force.

You’re improving the leverage for the clamping force though.

I put girodisc 350mm rotors on the front of my .1C2S about 5 years ago with a kit from a guy I met at Road Atlanta. PM if anyone wants that contact info.

Thanks Hatzenbach !
At Brakes-Shop I found 340 mm front rotors which fit 997.1 C2 (Base) and come with caliper adapters.

Yea I did both the front and rear- I did stainless lines at the same time so I did notice a change in pedal feel but its most likely from the lines.

350s fill up the wheel way better and also will provide some fade protection as they can take more heat in them.

In that post I believe you stated that the 997.1s uprights are the same for 997.2 c2 and 997.2 c2s.

Are our uprights different to 997.2s? Reason I ask is that I’ve found some 997.2s calipers- will these fit on our uprights as well? If not they can also supply 997.1s calipers but they are not in the best condition cosmetically so will need to be refurbed. Just to confirm - Did the 997.1s caliper bolt directly upto the 997.2 c2 upright without any adaptors or offset issues?

I have been researching for quite some time but thought I’d seek your invaluable experience and assistance on this as you have successfully carried out the caliper swap.

thanks
