Hi all;
I am looking at upgrading to the sportdesign steering wheel for my 997.2.
I've read that the wheel fits ok, but the parts dealer wasn't sure my original airbag would fit in this.
Would appreciat input relating to this.

I have a 991 wheel in my 997.1 I don't know what the sport design steering wheel air bag looks like but the 991 airbag is a circular airbag and not very big. my other older airbags were bigger and had different color connections on the back, so they obviously didn't work with the 991 wheel. My bet is you'll need a new airbag, check with atlanticship on ebay, he can get anything.
The 991 airbag I have has brown/tan and yellow connectors. I think the older steering wheels might have green and yellow - and they are not interchangeable.
EDIT: so I just googled sport design 991 steering wheel. That airbag looks bigger than the one in my 991 steering wheel, so it might actually fit. you need to check the connector colors as well.
