Lost with all the suspension options!!
Hello All,
I really need some help with the endless suspension options to lower my 997.2 C2 with 68k miles.
The car has standard suspension now and I'd like to lower it to reduce the giant arch gap! I'd also like to make the car a little more compliant for daily driving if that's possible? There's a lot of potholes where I live and they are a bit bone breaking at the moment.
I've looked at the coilover options that seem to vary from £1k upto £3k and I see there are some aftermarket non adjustable options as well but I'm completely lost in what to go for..
I can't imagine I'll ever track the car and I use it nearly every day so I don't need anything for track.
I really appreciate your help getting this right!

Thanks for the speedy reply.
I had read people saying it wasn't a good idea to do that with standard shocks when the mileage gets higher.
Would it be worth getting some new shocks as well?
Thanks again!

Eibach springs + spacers.
What I have installed on my 997.2 C2:
- Eibach Pro-Kit Springs Part # 7217.140
- Adaptec spacers 10mm (front)
- Adaptec spacers 15mm (rear)

My 997.2 C2 had similar mileage when I did my suspension upgrade (shocks, springs, sway-bars and drop links).
I love my setup and recommend it to anyone looking for a more planted and aggressive ride. Link below:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...r-install.html
HOWEVER as you consider the current potholes to be "bone breaking" already...then you should probably not be looking at lowering springs. The ride will absolutely not be less harsh (which sounds like what you are looking for).
The only caveat here is if you have a problem with your current suspension causing some kind of excessive harshness...although unlikely, if it is the case, then your current frame of reference would make it difficult for me to provide a suggestion.
Hope this helps in some way

I am a bit of a contrarian here... I never rode in a car with aftermarket suspension that was more compliant. Every single time, I found the ride jarring or I bang my head on the side window as the car lurches back and forth. I don't like this. I live with my car as my daily driver... But I found the stock setup to not be all that great... like Porsche didn't have the time to properly tune it. The ride bangs when it should be a bit smoother... just seems a bit off. Anywho, the DSC module made life fantastic for me. Just what the system needed. Only the module needed, no other items. I then tuned it further with my laptop. BTW, Porsche never fully implemented PASM in our cars in that all four shock are adapted in the same way as DSC's module mods each shock uniquely as needed by a host of inputs.
With regard to lowering... this is taste obviously. And again, I am a total deviant here on these boards.... I don't find the car odd looking. Every car I see lowered looks like someone sat on it. Just me.... and apparently, only me.
Cheapest mod is the DSC module and if you don't like it, you can sell it off for nearly what you paid for it. Total cost to install: $0... and takes about 15 minutes to do, and then undo.
