Default 997.2 Headlight Blackout

I've gone through and blacked out a pair of Dynamic headlights for a 997.2. I haven't seen any other photos of this so sharing. I am attempting to backdate the PDLS+ in black option in todays configurator

Thanks for sharing this, the finished product looks fantastic! What car do you intend to install these on?

Thank you fellow Seattleite! I plan on installing these on my 2011 GT3 RS. Journal here: Elliot's GT3 RS I am actually partnering with lightwerkz to upgrade some internals of the projectors. So they wont be installed for a bit. Will post final installed photos when they are available

Thanks for the link to the journal, I think I’ve crossed paths with your car once before - is this it parked next to mine at The Shop last fall?

I think maybe not the same car, I see that you bought yours in '21 and the car above has silver wheels. Can't be many decal-less 997.2 GT cars in our area.

Well, you both have excellent taste. If you weren't already planning to you should bring your car to The Shop for the Porsche C&C on 9/18.

Here is a picture of a dynamic head light with matte black . Looks nice as well. However, I don't know if it would affect the light intensity at all.

That looks stock. Do you have additional photos?

I've added some photos I'm less sure if I like the black out vs the original. Let's compare it to the 991.2 PDLS+ in black

I think the silver ring around the edges looks weird? Lookin at the photo above its black all the way into the paint.

I think if you blacked out the silver ring it would look even better. I think our eyes are finding the lighter bits still because of the silver vs a full black out. Still would buy

Added more photos from further away. I believe I'm a fan even with silver rings

Thanks.
Plan is to do at least clear lens and better bulbs. Potentially new main projector. I'm wait listed for awhile on lightwerkz custom builds. So that wont happen for a few months. I had an extra headlight and wanted to see what a blacked out dynamic light looked like to see if I wanted to do it for when I ship off to lightwerkz. So this is a prototype project I'm doing to determine the aesthetic I want before the professionals do it right. I'm thinking of gunmetal shrouds with black would look better as well. This is my first ever headlight opening. I am wondering a good way to paint these shrouds.
