Should I Repair Windshield Chip?

I have only one story of chip repair. I had a chip repaired by a local franchisee... can't remember the name. Came out to my parking lot and drilled/filled my Honda windshield. It was a cloudy mess. I was not happy. FWIW.
BTW, drilling the tips of the cracks removes a point of highest stress and therefore stops further cracking... same reasons airline windows have curved corners.
