Default Car seat question 997 Cab

I recently bought a 997 Turbo Cab. I'm planning to put my 2.5 yo in the front passenger seat with deactivation kit.

is this the right part 997-044-800-15 ?
and does it work with any car seat ? Not just the Porsche Junior Seat correct?

How much did the dealership charge for installing the deactivation kit?

Thanks!

What is that part? Is it the actual seat or the thing that disables the airbag? My son is big for his age, and his weight and the seat are enough to register with the AWS so I can’t find a way for him to sit upfront.

The manual has a pic of a keyhole in the door that lets you disable the airbag but my car does not have that. The dealer told me it would be almost 8k in labor to retrofit that into my 997.2

Looking forward to info.

Looks like the kit has two components:
1. a switch to turn off air bag
2. ISOFIX retaining bow where we can tether the car seat to

8k is highway robbery!

Page 13 of that doc is the key. I’m wondering if they just don’t want the liability or if it’s a lot of labor.

Side question, where did you get these instructions. I’d love to look through that book.

Apart from the seat mechanics, the kit includes an insert which goes on the central tunnel which lights up when deactivated, this is done by turning a key on the side of the dashboard. Again this key slot is provided as part of the kit.

I had it installed in a previous 997.2 C4S and it was about £600 at a Porsche Center, parts and labour. Took a couple of hours and was done whilst I waited.
