Help with Seat Swap to Sport Seats
Hi everyone - I need a bit of help here as I'm over my head and not sure what I need to do to make this swap work. Situation is: I have power heated seats in a 2007 997.1 Targa and I'm trying to install power heated sport seats from a 2009 997.2. Here is the problem; the original owner of the seats kept the control module to use on his new carbon fiber seats. So, I have to use the control module from my original seats. Issue is my control module (shown below) has yellow, green and grey ports and connections in the seat. The sport seat (show second photo below) only has a yellow connection. So....what do I do now to make this work? I'm reluctant to hook up and find out if it'll work as I don't want to cook electronics or set off airbags. Should the control module for the sport seats have come with the seats or is the control module specific to the car? Both sets of seats are power and heated so why don't the connections match? Do I need another control module like the one that was taken off the sport seats? Lot's of questions here and need some help. Has anyone successfully made this conversion? Do you have any constructive input. Thank you in advance!!

I don't have your answer, however this is another situation between .1 cars and .2 cars. I purchased a set of full power with ventilated seats for my .2 as I have a small tear in one seat. The new seats are from a .2 car where the guy just bought the carbon fiber seats from Porsche. He said that staying with the same generation is important as to connectors, airbag sensors etc. Others will come along with useful advice for you.

Ran into a similar issue a few months ago (Installing 997.2 Sport Seats into a 997.1) My shop had to Re-Pin some of my connections to make it work; If you are in SoCal - I used Mini Corsa in North Hollywood

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. Do you if they were able to use your control module (part number 997.618.537.07) or did they use one from a 997.2 (part number 997.618.381.00)?

Pull power from somewhere for the motors. The yellow or whatever it is works for the airbags and seatbelt iirc. I just tapped into 12v and powered the motors. You can get 12v out of one not the pins also.
basically bypass the control module since I’m guessing you have memory seats too?
