Default Mr12volt installed

Hi Just installed this into my 997.1 and works right after the bat, but have 2 issues not sure if this is normal.

1) phone calls come in on one side of car (passenger side channel) nothing can be heard on drivers side.

2) mic is placed in factory location...calls can hear my clearly then fazes out where i need to yell...then normal again. (any adjustments your recommend?)

thanks in advance.

Mine too. Some suggest it is normal.

I don't have this issue, but also have the mic in the factory location. No help here, sorry.

Thanks for your response.

Anyone know if the Enfig -Por1 would be an upgrade over the one that comes with the mr12volt?

I mounted my mic between the plastic gauge surround and the dashboard gaugae opening for mr12v. Works perfectly there

I broke my mic that came with mr12volt (which worked good) and replaced it with Enfig-Por1. My wife says the mr12volt mic is better than Enfig.
I clipped the mr12volt mic to the left side of sun visor. Enfig mic is mounted in the upper steering column cover, looks clean but keeps getting complain from her on voice quality and noise.
I think mounting location is more important.

thats unfortunate regarding the mic location... are you also getting sound from calls on the passenger channel?

Yes. Iirc it does only come out of one side,.I can test next time I'm in the car.

Regarding placement, you cannot see it when it's tucked in the hole there and the sound quality, according to folks on the other end is good.

I never had a good location for the microphone. Most people complained of the sound.

It did just come out of the one side to the best of my recollection.

Someone found a better microphone and it got good reviews from here. Should be easily searched.

I run the enfig. No one has complained about sound quality on calls. And it clips into the factory location. I think it's fantastic.
