Default Transmission Oil for manual gear box

Hello Everyone -
I wanted to change the transmission oil of my 997.2 C4S and I was wondering if there is any difference (except the price), between those to oils:
- Mobil 1 Delvac 75W-90: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/DELVAC.html
- Mobil 1 Mobilube PTX 75W-90: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/00004320420L.html
Thanks!
Riccardo

Don’t know what the difference between them is, but the right answer is the PTX.

There's only one choice - Mobillube PTX.

2009 C2S 170K miles

PTX is a GL-4.5 rated oil specifically formulated for transaxles. A transaxle is both a transmission and a differential using the same fluid. Delvac is not for transaxles but specifically for differentials, a GL-5 rating. Just read your manual, it tells you exactly what to use, and that is PTX GL 4.5, not Delvac.

Thanks everyone.
I will proceed to purchase 3L of PTX from suncoastsparts.
Should I buy the drain plug too?

TIA

No. But the magnetic sump drain plug from LN Engineering and install that in the lower MT drain plug slot instead. Yes, it fits.

Don't buy the drain plug or the sealing washer /aluminum gasket from them either. They will want about $20 for the Toyota aluminum washer, you need 2. Just use the same $0.50 washer that you use for engine drain plug, (18 mm x 24 mmx 1.5 mm thk. Also do use a 6 point socket on the drain and fill plugs. The heads on these are stupid thin and will take a lot of force to break them free. The cheapie lube pump (about $9 ) from local auto parts store will screw onto the bottles of the Porsche branded PTX and work fine for filling. Fiddling with the big under tray of the cars is the biggest part of the project.

Not for nothing, I bought an extra liter in case of spillage. Good thing that I did because I spilled all over the place. If you live in east PA you’re welcome to my extra half.
