2008 C2S has iPod connection-Where to start music playing??
I have a 2008 C2S 997.1 with an iPod connection.
I can't figure out how to play the music on the iPod through the car speakers...What am I missing????

As far as I know, all of the 997.1 iPod integrations are third party (Dension, Mr12Volt, etc.) and take the place of the CD Changer. So as initial questions, do you know what system you have? Also, are you switching to CD Changer on the PCM when trying to play the iPod?
You’ll need the proper adapter cord to plug your iphone in. It basically uses the old iphone cord (the really old flat connector) and the adapter cord allows you to plug into the newer iphones. Do a search and you should find what I am talking about.
In my car 997.2 with Bose, I select "iPod" from the source menu in PCM 3, but I've heard that if there is no CD (Disc 1) in the head unit, the iPod choice is not given in the menu.
Once selected, the PCM can control my iphone, song choice, play, pause etc.
The Porsche PCM 3 iPod cable has the old style Apple 30 pin end which will plug into an old ipod or iphone. I have plugged it into a "Bovee 1000" which gives full wireless BT integration with my iphone 6.
