Default Window problem

Hi people,
Hoping someone can help me resolve this problem
997.1 2006
Both windows won't auto close or go back up when the door is closed, auto down works, window drops when door opens.

Carsoft diag tells me faults 8026, fault won't clear
Same fault on both doors

Things I have tried and checked
  • Battery disconnected
  • Window resets done various methods tried
  • All three micro switches checked
  • All my fuses checked
  • Connections on door module removed and checked
  • Door lock unit removed and switch checked

Only thing I can do next is try and new door module

Hi, I found the solution to my original problem, within each door control module their is a memory setting which can either be set to module or radio..............mine was set to radio, and I previously changed the original PCM radio/stereo to an aftermarket one. I used Foxwell diagnostic tool to change the setting, but I guess you could use durametric too.

So basically the module is trying to store its memory in the PCM.............even though the PCM was changed a long time ago the windows worked fine for onward of 6 months until fully battery drain.

Prior to the above, I checked all the usual checks, power, limit switches etc

This may solve my problem as the issues started after changing a dead battery. I have a Foxwell NT 530, mind letting me know where I go in the settings to make the switch?
