Default Anyone setting on Bilstiens and H&R's.

I have a set of Bilstein struts and H&R springs I purchased from another member. I'd love to see this on another car before installation. This will determine weather I go with adjustable coilovers. I do not track, just looking to bring it down slightly.
Thank you.

We've only ever used Techart springs. To be honest the H&R's are a stiffer rate spring and they sit considerably lower (and tend to sag over time). H&R's are better suited to a stock shock or for someone that wants a much stiffer/bouncier ride (fine on the flat track but not so good on a bumpy road). The ride won't be as compliant. If you're doing bilstein struts (not sure which ones you have) I'd recommend either a software TechArt or Eibach spring.

If you are going to go to coil overs you can ditch the pasm and go with an Ohlins Road & Track set up (they're pretty reasonably priced for what they are). I'm more keen on the manually adjustable Bilsteins PSS10s than I am their PASM kit.

Stock shocks and HR springs, but also consider GT3 sway bars and DSC controller W/ 3 axis accelerometer. Integrates well with PASM in Sport Mode, I love the setup.

Stock shocks are bilsteins. What version do you have? Anything over the B4 will be better than stock.

I'll have to look at them. They are bright yellow. All I know for now.

+1 for the TechArt option / bought mine from Sharkwerks / @sharkster back in 2014 & received excellent service.
I also installed Bilsteins and upgraded sway bars and drop links at the same time.

Here is my thread will all part numbers and measurements before and after: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...install-3.html

I have Bilstein B8's and HR Springs. From what I've heard, HR springs on stock shocks is the issue since stock shocks have tolerances which HR springs are beyond (they are lower, stiffer and put more stress on oem parts). Bilstein B8's are purposefully built for greater stiffness and lower height, and keep the factory PASM. B8's and HR is probably the most aggressive and lowest of the strut/spring option while keeping factory PASM. Stiffness isnt too bad on soft setting, I'd equate it to being like sport mode on (factory setup) 24/7, while sport mode on significantly stiffens and if your not used to it would be an adjustment for sure.

I dont have PASM so my ride will be stiff with no adjustment. So my next question is, should I tuck these away and go coilovers and which coilovers would be best for street application/no PASM.

Like said above, depends on your goals/driving. If you want low, low low... coilovers without question, the lower the price the lower the quality/spring rates/adjustments. If its just street driving, i'd say 2-3k coilovers would probably do fine.

Track setups run into the 3-5k range easily and are not ideal for street comfort.

If you want a nice subtle drop and comfortable street driving, B4 or B6 Bilsteins with Eibach/TechArt is an easy choice but there are no adjustments to be made.

Bilstein's and H&R. It's definitely stiff but not too stiff in my opinion, and I love every second of it!
