Default What is the current highest milage 997.2 DFI motor?

Hello Guys,

I am curious if we could get a thread going to see how high miles are getting on original motors?

I have a 2011 GTS with 81k miles

Thx

I know I'm not the highest but 2010 Base with 134,000. It was my daily driver until last year and I've barely driven it since early 2020. No major issues thus far with the engine...HPFP, Plugs, Coils, VVT Solenoids in the last few years.

Bruce In Philly is up there in the 160k range. Not sure who else has one that high who's around on the board.

111,111 on my 2009 C2. Bruce I think is the winner. Only issues I have had is I go through tires quickly. LOL. No mechanical issues in the last 45,000 miles.

Agreed. @Bruce In Philly is the leader. I just turned 82k on a car I bought with 55k in June 2019. That said I do not believe it will continue to be my dd as of this fall, so things will start to sloooow down.

136K on my 2010 C4S PDK with no mechanical problems. I had planned on being past 175K now but 2020 ...

The .2 cars have proven very reliable. My cost per mile not including gas, insurance, or registration is around 14 cents.

There was another high mileage post on here a year or so ago where someone was close to 200K. I have seen reports of more than that. But as pointed out already, Bruce is the current active leader here as far as I know.

Almost 85k here on my C2. Bought it with 82k miles and change on it back in Sep and put ~2.5k miles on it in 3 months. In storage since Dec.

81,000 on mine. Bought it with 50,000 just out of warranty for $50K. I bet it's worth it or more with the shortage of Porsche sports cars these days both new and used.

I bet it is, especially if it's a 6MT. I felt that I overpaid for mine by $1 or $2k when I bought in Sep but didn't let it prevent me from moving forward on an otherwise great car with a cool spec. Given what the market has done even over the last few months, I don't feel that I overpaid anymore. Glad I didn't wait.

My '09 Carrera base has 142,000 miles and is going strong. No motor issues at all. Averaging well over 22 mpg. Burns a bit of oil, but that's understandable.
