I’m gonna call over today to Getty and ask. I was wanted the rear brake light deleted, so I should have mentioned that.
these photos everyone is posting are really getting me excited about installing the wing.

The wiring harness is for the third brake light and was £103, the brake light itself is a sport classic part at £70.
The delete panel was £205, just to give you an idea on costs for parts.
The strut is for a lighter deck lid to reduce the downward pressure required to close the lid.

I went with the Better Bodies Motorsports (AKA GT3Tek) ducktail and I love it.
Fit is good, but not OEM, price is great at around $400. I didn't want the taller tail that comes with the entire rear decklid replacement, so this one slides into the spoiler location and comes with all the grills pre-mounted. So just prep, paint and install.
I also didn't see any value in paying an extra $600 for a different ducktail. Great value. There is a small gap right under the third brake light panel that I was toying with adjusting a bit, but it's grown on me and I'm leaving it as-is.
The diffuser in the pics below also came from Better Bodies.

EMC2 Design 991 Spoiler arrived last Friday. Just waiting on the Getty Design ducktail to arrive. Hoping to have it all installed in the next week or two. The waiting is the toughest part!

Got this one off eBay; combined with a front lip it was $775; came with the GT3 grills (actual Porsche parts); there's one on eBay right now for $400 plus shipping.
It fully replaces the old tail, but does not disturb the decklid. The tail came unprimed, so I primed it myself with the intention of it getting wrapped (like the rest of the car, no that is not the stock color/paint). I actually like the two tone so I may leave it that way/finish the paint job. I also cut out the space for the third brake light and added the light from the old wing, but wish I had not. Thought I needed to as I thought the tail would block the fixed third light; this one is short enough not to do that. And yes there is no fixed third light in these pics because it broke coming out for the wrap. Holy crap those are fragile. Need to get the harness to make the light work; and to program the car to recognize that it's a fixed wing. Yes I have the Foxwell tool to do so.
I also deleted the motors, etc, for the old wing.

Finally got my Getty Design Sport ducktail painted and installed. Shop said they had no issues with fitment whatsoever. I discarded the metal mesh that came with it and picked up a set of OEM Sport Classic mesh instead.
I had a custom "Carrera 3.6" decal made up in the style and placement of a 2.7 RS. Kind of still think it needs a decal/badge in the OEM location. Might just go with a simple "911" decal.
Here are a few shots, I apologize for the glare.

That looks fantastic. I’ve got a local shop lined up to paint and install mine. I’ve been debating what to put on the back of the ducktail. My car is de-badged, so I might leave it blank for now. I really like that subtle 3.6 you did.

I'm biased, of course, but I just think the ducktail look so right on the 997.
I can also confirm that the Foxwell NT530 was able to code out the spoiler error I got.
Few better shots of my Getty Sport:

Excellent news re Foxwell. I opted to not order the prep work/harness from Getty, so we’ll see how that goes.
850tgul - May I ask where you found the OEM Sport Classic Mesh? That looks perfect.

They are available via dealers but are a bit more, about $130/140 each.
The part #s are 997 512 625 02 and 997 512 626 02
Had I not found a good deal on them, I likely would have just picked up a "universal mesh" plastic sheet for cheap. There is nothing special about the Porsche mesh, it's just black plastic honeycomb mesh.
I just always fear the painted metal mesh Getty gives you will chip over time. Maybe that's unfounded as the inlets are not in a high impact area of the car.

Does anybody have any info on where to get the lighter strut? Part number? I just installed an RPG one and it does feel like there's a little too much resistance when closing the lid. Fit and finish of Getty does look better than RPG (oh well). Also, I used a Foxwell to code in a fixed spoiler but I still get a 'raised brake light' error, so I ended up ordering the fixed wing harness w/ brake light. Will get here in a week or so, so I'll see if that helps.
