2006 997 Club Coupe, No 20 of 50
Hello - first post on this forum but I have thousands of posts on other Rennlist forums.
Question: does anyone have an opinion on the 997 Club Coupe? I am getting a ppi done on one that has 55k miles, but looks near showroom condition. Valuation? Asking price is reflecting rarity and condition. This is the nicest 997 of any type I have found. Thank you in advance, and hope to join this group if the sale goes through.

Outside of Club Coupe moniker, X51 and colour along with limited numbers, there is nothing overly special about the model run.
Unless the price is within 10% of a similarly equipped C2S, it's not worth the money. Usually low mileage examples have sold from $65-90k (1-30k miles)
Personally would go with a 997.2 C2S or C4S or GTS or GT3

As far as substantiating the price, the miles hurt it I think.
Here's some documented history on 8 fairly recent sales of the 997 Club Coupe - from October 2018 to May 2020...

That’s a nice color.
Based on @Ironman88’s link, it’s overpriced but the model is rare and you don’t know when another will be for sale. Try to use the recent sales as a negotiating tool. It’s been for sale for a month so that should help you as well.
A regular C2S MT with 55k miles is $44k? With those available options maybe you’re at $46-48k. Then you have the PTS and model rarity which are the X factors.
Good luck!

Many thanks for the opinions. I have been looking for months, and found the good examples are sold before I see the ad. This one is in remarkable condition for a 55,000 mile car. At 4000 miles per year, you are close to having storage-related issues instead of mileage-related ones.
I had the ppi including cylinder leakage and cylinder bores scoped at Graham Everett's shop. I went out of my price range and may have slightly over-paid, but got a great example I will drive and enjoy long enough to forget.
May I please join this forum? I am life-long 911 owner and meticulous DIY mechanic, including paint spray, engine rebuilds and transmission rebuilds on the 1970 911T. The 964 (sold, alas) and the 997 are career garage queens and should require maintenance only.

The 997 Club Coupe is a very unique model simply because Porsche made a special model for the Porsche Club of America. I don't believe they had done that before. PCA is by far the largest Porsche club in the world. Since then, there have been two more club coupes (World WIde 991.1 model in Brewster Green and the PCA 60th Anniversary Club Coupe in Club Blau. Also, a 991.1)
At the time, the 997 was the first model to debut the X51 package. The color was unique as well. 50 were made and Porsche kept one for themselves ( I believe it's still in Atlanta). Whether it will be a future collectible, we can only speculate. However, you can be sure that it will be a hit at PCA car shows and your local cars and coffee if no other reason than the color.
