would love your impressions as well! And if you get a CEL, it’s high on my list but wouldn’t want a CEL

My install was a basic center muffler removal and sharkwerks crossover bolt on. Zero issues.

I received confirmation from Alex Ross with Sharkwerks that there will be no CEL activation since the pipe installs after the Cats. So there is no need for spacers based on his response.

oh ok, I thought the sharkworks and the soul bypass pipes were the same. Since they remove the cats.

Gary Chan, this thread is about the 997.2 exhaust not 997.1. Unlike the .1 which has the cats in the crossover pipes, the cats in .2 are at the tail end of the exhaust manifold. So the sharkworks xpipe that you see in the photo won't trigger CEL because the stock cats are untouched.

Totally understandable, appreciate your effort!

Replacing CATs is totally fine as long as you use a reputable brand. That's why we use HJS. No CEL Guarantee, Lifetime warranty! Why We Choose HJS Catalytic Converters:

HJS German imported catalytic converters are made from some of the highest grade material you can find in a catalytic converter. This yields high-performance gains and longevity so it won't deteriorate over time like lower-grade catalytic converters. These catalytic converters flow up to 93-95% of a straight pipe in most applications. The benefit is that you get the "straight pipe sound" while still being able to provide enough emissions scrubbing to prevent a check engine light. If you'd like to learn more,
