My local dealer here in Virginia, Chantilly Porsche. I paid $521 about a month ago. They've been really good about meeting or exceeding on-line pricing on Porsche-branded parts. Once shipping is included with on-line orders, I'm ahead buying locally.

Which dealer?

One in the GTA didn’t make me a great offer either for my 2011 GT silver manual GTS.

Yeah, I bought one last fall for $400, now seeing them unto $1700... Insane. I wish I would have bought 2-3....
I did keep my cracked old one which will be worth investing some bodywork time to fix at some point...

That's a reputable dealer I've purchased from before. Plus CPO, low miles, and clean documentation. I think the risk is relatively low on this one.

A 6 spd GTS Cab is a blast. Your friend will absolutely enjoy it. Do like you advised me and go straight for the Sharkwerks.

Your friend lives in ATL? I've got a meteor 997 GTS cab as well... Love that car! Mine has a stone grey top and silver CL wheels. +1 on the Sharkwerks.

My voodoo 991 GTS coupe is the crowd favorite, but I prefer the 997!
