Hello,
Need some information from anyone who has sold their P-car to anyone in Canada, after 2014, supposedly the requirements/laws changed then. Buyer wants me to provide an EIN (SSN) number that the transport company wants along with the bill of sale. Thoughts?

I don't give that to anyone. ANYONE.
For what reason?
At the very least I'd consult a dealer or someone else (another trucking company near the border) and ask what they're requirements are for shipping over.
But that's me...

I have bought cars from US and helped others. You do not need to give them anything other than signed title and car. They need to give you money first. End of story. They get the required transport bond numbers not you. Don't give them your social security.

Haven't done it, but I've looked into it. Biggest thing is getting this piece, that I think is what they're looking for:
"To complete your AES filing, the reporting company will require an EIN, IRS or D-U-N-S number from the seller. (These numbers establish that the seller is employed or has a business in the United States.)"
I think there are third parties that handle this sort of thing for a small fee. Maybe suggest they look into that?

Google “ITN Canada vehicle” and you’ll get several results for companies that will take care of it.
