Vin
WP0AD2A96BS766128
For sale for insanely cheap, and advertised as Clean title..... By no means is this a clean car. I'm just trying to save someone the time + money.

I would recommend you walking away from it. If you had a PPI, get the mechanic to inspect it structurally. I suspect it may have one day pretended it was a Ford Raptor and jumped.

Any specific questions please DM me and I'll answer it to the best of my ability.

If you have verifiable info on this car, you may want to post the vin in your thread title or your post so if someone looking at the car bass chance to see this if they search for that VIN online.

If you have the link to where it's being sold that would be good too.

Let's be realistic.

The car has 75k miles and is being sold at a steep discount. WTH did you expect when you went to see it. There are no free lunches in sports cars.

If the car is cheaply and perhaps appropriately priced, why do you feel the need to trash the car for not being clean. No shyte, if the car would clean it would be much more expensive.

What is not clean about? Are the pictures faked. I did see some road rash on the front bumper cover and a little wear on the seats, but what do you expect for a 75,000 mile car.

What evidence are you referring to that the car was jumped and why do you think that?

Is there visible damage underneath?

Did you drive it?

Did it drive true or have a vibration?

If you're really interested in the car I'd start by questioning if this was a clean car, sold by a Porsche dealership, why is it not cpo'ed? Dealerships cpo up to 12 years here.

There is suspiciously new panel's under the car. Once you take it off you'll see visably damage.

I saw this car before and what annoyed me was that it's being advertised as a manual when you search the Porsche Finder when it's actually a PDK. I don't know why dealers do this. Porschephiles don't suddenly settle for a PDK when they're specifically looking for a manual.

I am all about helping another purchaser, but CPO is much more complicated than that and the car is being sold at a discount. The car may have service needs, the tires may be less than 5/10s, the brake pads may be less than 50% and by the time they sink all of the into the car and pay the CPO fee, they still have a 10 year old car with 75k miles that will not command a premium price. Cannot really make assumptions about the car based on lack of CPO except that they felt they could perhaps make more money at a discounted price then investing a lot of money into a high mileage car.

Did you remove the panels and see damage under the panels or is that just an assumption?

This is annoying, but the dead give away may be the lack of a manual in a 997.2 Turbo S. Mine was a pdk (my first pdk) and I want to say I was told there were no manuals in the Turbo S when I purchased mine back in 2011. May be mistaking here though and I was excited to try out the new pdk transmission back then.

Correct, 997 Turbo S's were all .2s and all of them have PDKs, manuals weren't an option.

In the detailed description they mention that it is pdk, so apparently someone just checked the wrong box when they set up the ad. I don’t think they were intentionally trying to deceive anyone.

Yeah, that's pretty common in listings, whenever I'm browsing I always check the "manual transmission" filter and there are still usually plenty of Tips and PDKs in there.

Dude, if you're going to post something insinuating, share the facts. Otherwise, don't post. For all we now, you may have a grudge against the seller ! Not cool.
