Default ATX_Native’s 997.2 C2 Thread

This is a build thread I will update over time with projects and mods.

I had to sell a 996 C2 a few years ago for some more down payment scratch for a home.

This year I decided to get back into a 911 and started looking at 997’s and 991.1’s.

After searching off and on for 4 months and three false starts, two bad PPIs and a dealer that sold a car out from under me, I got lucky and found a gem.

Found one on PCA Mart from an enthusiast in Florida, a 2009 911 C2 w/ 43k miles. Caught it at the right time, was listed about 24 hours before.

PPI found a slight leak at the thermostat, so I will change that and the WP.

DME was clean as a whistle with nothing over an ignition 2.

Build:

BASE 911 Carrera
267 Self Dimming Mirrors
342 Heated Front Seats
431 3-Spoke Str Whl Multifctn lthr
541 Seat Ventilation
603 Dynamic Cornering Lights
619 Bluetooth Phone Interface
672 Navigation Module for PCM
680 Bose High End Sound Package
686 XM Radio
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color
870 Universal Audio Interface
AN Black Standard Leather
P15 Pwr Comfort Seats w/Driver Mem
X1 Arctic Silver Metallic
XSC Porsche Crest in Headrest

It had some nice company on the ride over.

Was hoping they would have given me this other silver Porsche.

Super happy with the car, cleaner than I expected. Very minty!

Nice! Congrats on the purchase. I remember seeing that one listed and thinking it would not last long.

Great find, congrats! They couldn’t give you the 918 as a BOGO special? 😂

The truck driver couldn’t wait to unload it. Can’t imagine what that insurance claim would look like.

Congrats! Just waiting for CoTA to re-open cars and coffee. Could be awhile. BTW - I'm an Austin native also...I'm in Circle C...where are you located?

I had a home in Circle C west about 4 years ago, now I am up north now, in Wells Branch now. My fiancé and I are about to get married so I sold my home down south. We’re planning a move in a few years to somewhere more central in the next few years.

I also used to go to Cars and Coffee, hopefully it will be back in the spring or summer.

Ever been to Radwood?

Congrats and welcome. Looks great.

That 918 is something else. Wonder if the new owner knows about the mark or splattered bug on the front bumper.
