The Jackpoints are works of art, IMO.

Looks like a great deal. I wish Costco Canada would get the 5000 back in stock, I missed their sale last year & have been checking every week since. Want to lower the car over the winter so been hoping they would appear again at Costco....

I take QJ to the track. Love mine. Had a Jackstand slip as I was lowering the car from the other side. Next day I had a QJ and have not looked back. The main reason the Quick connects fail is when you do not completely de-pressurize the lines/system. plenty of videos out there. If you try to connect and it fights back you have pressure in the system or lines...

I've had the 7000 QJ for 3 years - very safe & stable but also very heavy - the 5000 is the better option for a Porsche. Have done brakes, motor mounts on SL Mercedes, countless oil changes, etc. and I put a 9 ft long 6x6 timbers on it to work on my wife's SUV. If I could do it over, I would have built the new garage to accommodate a 4 post lift but a Quick is not a bad option.

I like the Quickjack a lot. I used it recently to do spring lowering modification and suspension work. It has 3 height setting and it was very useful to be able to lift car same height.
Mine are hung on the wall so they don't take up any space.

I love my Quickjacks they are great and paid for themselves quite quickly as you can easily do regular maintenance and repairs because you can now access underneath your car easily and safely . The portability of them is one thing they have over most of their competitors and have also served a few of my friends well.

Liftbars accomplishes same height, way cheaper, way lighter (herniated disc from 10 years of jiujitsu) and easier to move and store. Existing jackstands i have are lightweight bullsh!t so they need to go and I use them a ton with the 997 repairs and my 76 FJ40 Toyota resto-mod underway.

I never would have found these, so thanks guys. Just in time for a 991.1 arriving in 60 days or so!

The jackpoints are really, really good, but you have to lift one corner at a time. They also stack for storage. Liftbars look pretty elegant as well, and less jacking.

@Bruce In Philly I see there are indeed nuances that bear emphasis to note........I shall study up and decide. I have a 3” low profile hi-lift jack already. Sound a tad treacherous if you get ahead of yourself and lift “too much too fast”......

I have a 4 post lift and 4 Jackpoint stands. I had a pair of lift bars in the corner of the garage for 5 years and with the other 2 things, never even unwrapped them. Just sole them to another 928 member recently so someone can get some use out of them. My initial issue was I don't have any jacks that have the curved saddle that should be used with the lift bars. The Jackpoint are flat on top and I have 4 really tall Esco stands too, but they're also flat on top. Since I never found myself using the lift bars, I sold them off. I can't speak to any in use experience with them.

There have been occasions where I've had to use almost everything in the arsenal, like when dropping the 914 engine to repair an oil leak.

Yes, this was for plugs/coils. I use it on every car in the "fleet".
