Greetings. I know this has been done many times before but I wanted to share my upgrade. I swapped the euro clear markets for a clear set with an amber light bar. I know some would rather smoked markers with little to no light but I typically like clear lenses especially on darker cars for a little pop. Anyways here are a few pics of the quick and easy process. $53 on eBay with canbus so no light errors. Stock euro corner with yellow bulb. Yuck Euro side market lit. I used a plastic trim tool to spring the lense toward the wheel well to pop them out. Removed the bulb by twist and turning and then released the connection by pushing down the metal lock bar. New led unit! Led unit lit. It is bright but not as bright as the photo makes it look. Much better IMO.
I have the same ones. Nice job. You can also code them so they finction as turns signals instead of side markers. Adds a level of safety when driving on multi lane interstates so the people next to you can see your switching lanes.

That would be awesome, especially for the longer light bars. How do you code them on a Porsche? I’ve coded BMW’s for years but I wasn’t aware you can code a Porsche. I’m taking the car to the dealer on Monday for the sport chrono upgrade. I wonder if they could turn them on as turn signals?
That is a great idea. What are the steps?
Thank you in advance. I have 997.2.

You need a tool that can do module coding like a Durametric Pro of Foxwell.
Those devices are crazy expensive. I think I’ll be waiting for a Porsche meet to find someone who can do it. BMW’s now have a wireless obd port device and an app on the phone. So you can be up and coding for less than $100.
