Default 2006 Carrera Cab with engine issue

Beautiful spec imo... would be nice if you could get it for $20k and then throw a 3.8 S motor in it. But then again Porsche motors are not cheap. Also there's an accident on the carfax.

Not sure if those are actually PCCBs or just yellow painted base Carrera calipers. It does have factory sport exhaust.

it most likely has a scored cylinder(s), looking at the pictures from the back it has the signs CEL is prob for misfire or cat efficiency if its far along....... Rebuilds are 15-20K done right so 20K for the car would be the right price

Yep, I agree with rtl

The sootier left tailpipe is a telltale indicator of bank 2 scoring - probably in cylinder #6. Because the OEM cats crisscross each other, that shows up on the left tailpipe. That car is a $15k roller at this point.

Blackonblack, blast from the past but did you see this vehicle in person? Curious how you came to the determination. The cars.com link no longer works - were there mentions of CEL do you recall? Car's back on the market it appears.

Rebuilds will cost far more than $15K or $20K. The cost will be closer to $25K or $30K .

You can find rebuilt engines for $20K, but that does not include the cost of installation or replacement parts outside of the engine. Porsche parts are not cheap. If you replace the air injection pump alone that will cost you about $1k now days.
