S is a 5 minute job each side. Pads come out the back. Base is not open from the back so you have to remove the caliper. If you are changing rotors too then I guess it matters less.

Check you local PCA club website and see who is doing their free tech inspection before DEs. With COVID most if not all of the free tech inspection have been suspended, but you can get the name of several shops. Doing your brakes DIY is the way to go, but you still need to have an independent shop.

This is how to make the HD/Lowes one for a lot less then the Motive kit.

The fronts took me about 3 hours just because I didn't really know what I was doing at first and went to re-watch some videos to make sure I was doing it right. If I did the fronts again it would take about 90 minutes maybe (just pads).
Changing the brake pads on the back took about 90 minutes or so, since I had previously done the front pads.

Brake jobs are one of the easiest things to do with a Porsche. All I have ever done is change the fluid periodically since 2006. I'm still on https://ziagroup.com/homes/350-las-alturas-rd/factory pads at 122,000 miles!

I’m in Sugar Land. I drive to Sealy for service at Rennsport. Excellent service.

@David Berry , I'll give them a call tomorrow. Are they reasonable with their pricing?

I think they are. Warren is the expert mechanic there. He does excellent work. I have not been to the dealership since I discovered Rennsport.

I agree that there are lots of videos out there.

If you have an "S" then I recommend this one:

If you have the base model then this one is good.
