@workhurts , i would have thought that the S would have been harder than the base Carrera.

Check you local PCA club website and see who is doing their free tech inspection before DEs. With COVID most if not all of the free tech inspection have been suspended, but you can get the name of several shops. Doing your brakes DIY is the way to go, but you still need to have an independent shop.

@DesmoSD The ironic thing is that i just resigned from my position at Home Depot. I wish that i had thought about that while i was still working there. I'll pay them a visit tomorrow.

@tinroof , I, like you, am only SLIGHTLY mechanically inclined. I had already planned on changing my own oil. How long did the brake job take you?
Changing the brake pads on the back took about 90 minutes or so, since I had previously done the front pads.

Brake jobs are one of the easiest things to do with a Porsche. All I have ever done is change the fluid periodically since 2006. I'm still on https://ziagroup.com/homes/350-las-alturas-rd/factory pads at 122,000 miles!

@David Berry , I'll give them a call tomorrow. Are they reasonable with their pricing?
