Would anyone in the Hermosa Beach area care to take a look at a 997 in Atlas grey 2008, 65,870 miles, $34,997 at CASEY’S CARS (840 Pacific Coast Highway)
VIN WP0AB2A9XDS123113
I placed a hold on it and I had a PPI done by Lemon Squad-I realize I probably should have used a Porsche specialist, my bad.
The OBD revealed 5 codes: P0300 (confirmed), P0301(confirmed), P0300(pending), P0301(pending), P0306(pending)
There are no service records (claims they were destroyed by auctioneer due to personal info). I’m a Porsche newb, only driven one once, I’m out of state, I don’t want to wrench anything myself and I’m clearly not wealthy. Should I just move on? Is it just coil packs and plugs? Should I use it as negotiating leverage? Any thoughts or advice help would help a ton. I don’t want to START my Porsche journey with major issues. I’d rather err on the side of caution and pass it up.

Those are misfire codes. I'd have an invasive PPI done on that car by a pcar specialist. You can probably get Casey to bring it to Autohaus down the road in Manhattan Beach. They were more than willing to take a car I was interested in to a PPI when I was inquiring about a 997 there earlier this year.
edit: also the vin provided is different from what they have listed online. https://www.caseyscars.com/pre-owned...che-911/571392

I'm local and can lay eyes on it however far from what a PPI would provide. You should definitely get a legit PPI done (Auto Werkstatt in Manhattan Beach is nearby).
Having misfires could be plugs/coils. It was sold in 2016 by Bob Moore Porsche in OK so they may give you service history over the phone. Also, get a Carfax which may have more information.

Thanks for the info! I called Porsche OKC and they told me the clutch and spark plugs were changed at 57k in April 2016. They recommended a diagnostic test from the nearest dealer.

This car has been at Casey's for awhile. Usually they turn over their manual 997 inventory pretty quick. So maybe something is not quite sorted with this car. I'm sure a PPI with one of the shop mentioned above (which are all nearby) will tell you everything.
