I'm going to have my Indy install the numeric shifter next week (08 C4S reusing current cables). Reading the various threads I can't tell if there is a consensus on the setting between medium or long.

Any thoughts? I'm hoping to get it right the first time around.

No downsides to choosing Medium. You can change it yourself later in 10 minutes.

I was on the shortest for a bit then moved to medium. Its quote easy to swap so I wouldn't worry too much about getting it right the first time around.

Long is still a little shorter than stock. That said, I settled on medium

I ran it long for about 4 weeks, and I have my entire center console out waiting for hydrodipping, so I can switch it easily, and I just switched it to medium and like it, I don't think I would go any shorter.

My configuration also includes their cables; anyone have any luck getting rid of the vibration noise coming from the cables? I am planning to line my center console with sound deadening material.
