so the passenger window goes down slightly when opening the door, but when I shut it, it does not go back up to seal the window. anyone have any suggestions on how to fix, or what needs to be replaced? drivers side works fine

tried to reset the window - bring window down (hold for 10 sec), bring window up (hold for 10 sec) - repeated twice
cleaned gunk off top of window
hooked up a battery jumper to make sure battery wasnt low

Do you use the window switch to close it the rest of the way?. I think the logic might be in the relay, so likely either replace or maybe a bad door contact.

this can happen if the battery is old and weak. The batteries on these cars don't last long unless kept on a tender.

One of the microswitches that controls window drop and raise has gone bad or the pin molded into the back of the interior door handle is worn. Any recent work where someone removed that door panel, like for window tint? Post a photo of the interior door handle on that side and after closing the door, go back inside the car and push the handle into the door - does the window pop back up now?

yes, i use the drivers side switch to close it when someone leaves the passenger side of the car. the passenger side switch also works.

so i had it hooked up to a battery jump pack while opening and shutting the door to test to see if its a weak battery. would this still cause this issue to happeN?
