Congratulations on your first 911! I took delivery of my new to me 07 997.1 C2 July 13. A 15 year dream finally realized. 63k miles, base for 27k shipped from Cali -> MI. I absolutely love the car. Lived to my 15 year hype and then some. enjoy yours!
I had a big car meet to go to, H2Oi in Ocean City MD which is a 1500 mile round trip for me here in Georgia. A few days before I was supposed to leave, I noticed my coolant reservoir was leaking. Ended up driving to Porsche Atlanta twice, first to get the reservoir which they thankfully had and then a second time to get the coolant level sensor which snapped during the job. Had to rush it in and got the car buttoned up the day I left. Not a fun job to DIY but it was worth saving the money on labor. Here is the stupid old reservoir for posterity.
I got some SSR replicas with brand new Michelin tires for 300 bucks on Facebook marketplace so tried them on to see how I liked 19s. This is with a 5mm front and 20mm rear spacer. Specs including spacer are 19x8.5 +47 235/35/19 and 19x10 +32 275/30/19. Here are a couple pics that were taken up in Ocean City!
Here's a sick rolling shot a buddy of mine got.
Bonus. Not a bad place to sit and have a beer lol.
Congrats! You’ve done a great job on it already. Don’t think I’ve seen that colour in person, very unique. I’m just closing on my first 911 next week, Uber amped.
Got my new wheels in and installed! It's fall here in Atlanta so pulled the car into a vacant lot of sorts for some pics.
These are Fifteen52 Formula GT, 19x9.5 et45 and 19x11 et30. The car needs to come down a little lower and I could use slightly wider rear tires, but I had these already so they'll stay for the time being. I'm pretty happy with the look regardless! I've owned 20+ sets of wheels over the years but these are the first I've bought new.

Its amazing how some wheels and coilovers can make any car look so much better. Any issues getting an alignment to spec without buying other suspension components?

I have the printout somewhere -- I was just barely in the range of acceptable in the rear without buying toe arms. The car is aligned within factory spec though. I need to look up specs others have liked because I pretty much just told the alignment guy what I wanted off the top of my head. These coilovers do have front camber plates in addition to the OEM slotted strut mount holes.
Well, I have been really bad about updating this thread. Just rolled over 114,000 miles so I've put about 15k on it in the last 15-16 months. Not too bad!
The car is now a little bit lower, GT3 decklid, Better Bodies Motorsport front lip, Megan adjustable toe arms, etc.
Also on Work VS-KF 19" 3 piece wheels.
Here's what it looks like when I leave my driveway....
Also took the car to the Tail of the Dragon on stock wheels 2 weeks ago! It did amazing and I beat the sht out of it. Pretty funny how sunk the stock wheels look under cornering load even after 15mm spacers.

Well, I've been really bad at updating on here. I still have the car and have changed some things since then but haven't been feeling super motivated, so maybe detailing what's been going on on Rennlist will help?
Currently at 120k miles, that's only like 6k in the last year and a half. I need to do better.
At 118k the water pump went kaboom and the car received the following
- low temperature thermostat
- water pump
- serpentine belt
- oil filler tube (was split)
- brake booster vacuum line (that was cracked, I didn't have power brakes LOL)
After that, I mounted my new wheels. To make a long story short, they are a set of 19" Gemballa/Artec Turbos as spec'd on the 996 Gemballa Biturbo. I found four faces in Germany on eBay classifieds complete with Gemballa caps and had Wheelflip in California make me custom lips and barrels. Of course I've since forgotten what the final specs are.
The car had been pretty much unchanged since then, until my buddy was driving the car back from touching up the powdercoat on the wheels and hit a tire on the road, taking out the GT3Tek lip and running it over. Not his fault at all, this kind of thing happens. Anyway, I ended up getting a pretty good deal from Porsche Atlanta Perimeter on a brand new OEM aero bumper.
At that time, I buffed the headlights and did LED fog lights also.
To simplify things here are a couple photos as it sits now.
