A 2011 911 is officially designated a 997.2. Do a search for the 997 forum.

You will need a special ODB2 tool like the icarsoft II for Porsche, or a durametric tool. Search here or on Amazon.

I bought the Autel AP200, all the stuff the $400 one does but it uses your phone instead of dedicated hardware. I can reset the service interval on my 997.1, I am sure it would work on a .2.

Hi RoadsterRob, I downloaded Autel app on Iphone 11 for my 997.2 but having trouble with set-up . Shows up as Maxi AP200 , after successful log-in it goes to Bind VCI and instructs to scan to get VCI serial #. When I scan VCI port nothing happens and I am not able to bind VCI. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

Are you scanning the QRL code on the OBDII adapter? If so, make sure all your apps are up to date. If still nothing contact Autel.

Yup all apps up to date, scanning OBDII port with key in "on" position, nothing happens. Sent an email to Autel tech support. But you didn't have any trouble scanning your OBDII port?

no, you need to scan the bar code on the little white adapter that goes into your OBDII port. That marries the adapter to your phone. Then plug the adapter into the car.

Got one from Amazon.
Works Great.
Service light now out.
Didn't realize that the APP was a subscription. $50.00 a year for each car you want to be able to diagnose.
First car is free for a year.

Hmmm, mine is on order, didn't realize there was a subscription involved, kind of wish RoadsterRob had mentioned all the details. Live and learn,I guess
