Not familiar with bovee. So, your phone communicates w/the plug-in bovee?.....not directly w/the PCM Bluetooth?
I bluetooth to the PCM and then the Bovee is a bluetooth adaptor that plugs into the 30pin for music. Streams music, tracks and allows your PCM to control your iPhone wirelessly.
Maybe I'll try just hooked up normally and see what the version says.
Well......it appears Thomas was correct on current iPhones not pairing with my 997.2 PCM.... newly replaced 997.2 PCM at that.
I did spend more money after the PCM and bought the map update.......reason being that there seemed to be credible discussion out there that a current map load would nudge the PCM Version higher (maybe helping phone pairing).
It did.
Even though the dealership said....no, V1.47 is all you can do on the this PCM.....the map update did nudge it to V2.41.
Anyway.....the Porsche PCM does 'see' the SE iPhone (even sees it by the correct name and stats)....it adds it to it's list of BT devices....it displays a 4 digit code to enter on the iPhone.
That's where the fun ends.
Darn Apple won't pair.

Believe me, I don't want to be right here.... it really sucks. Wish I had known before I "upgraded" to the iPhone 11
No issues pairing my iPhone 11 Pro (iOS 13.6.1) with my 2009 C2S. Out of curiosity, I checked the PCM and I'm running V1.44. I remember my SA recommending not upgrading due to some issues but that was years ago and I forgot all about it. At any rate, if upgrading to V2.41 will cause me to lose bluetooth pairing, then no way.
Just had to repair my phone with my pcm. No issues at all. 11 pro max with latest updates.
must be something else going on.
That's the exact phone I have. It works sometimes, then cuts out. Other times you have to manually reconnect. Also, PCM will show you're connected, but the connection has been lost so the person on the other end doesn't hear you. Dealer told me the older system can't handle the volume of information from the new iPhone. Let us know if you still think yours is working a month from now...
Well.....this has turned into quite topic.....thanks to all for the many many ideas.
It's become clear everyone has different reasons and uses for the connection to continue to be functional.
Initially, I probably should have been clear on the main thing, the only thing that I was chasing here........that being a resumption of a wireless pair (replacement PCM to new SE iPhone).
I do not want to have to start 'plugging in' the iPhone every time I get in or exit the car. Music and streaming has nothing to do w/this as I have other systems for that. I wish the PCM to simply pull the list from the phone, display, and allowing me to place HF calls. Pretty rudimentary.
I think I'm hearing that....either my fairly new phone.....or....the new IOS version (or combo of both) may be fighting w/ the simple pair on the PCM......pairing that I took for granted for the last 12 yrs, on this, my wife's C4S 997.2.
But there sure is a wealth of ideas and input here.
