Parting ways with P-Cars/Chavis Perfomance
I just wanted to post this, it has been brewing for a few days, and since I was looking for a 997 would have taken a 996, but will do neither now and this is why. Also I don't see any other place to post it.
I had a 2000 911 Cabriolet that I enjoyed and sold a few years ago and then acquired a 2004 Cabriolet. Both of these cars I enjoyed and found quite gutless. I would have went to the turbo, but for the price increase I didn't see the benefits. I was going to a 996 or a 997 with a lot of LS power. I enjoy how small the cars are, and fun to throw around they are. I do not enjoy the way people treat you with them, especially with sales and service. In mid-May i was intent on getting a 997 Cabriolet either Turbo or non-Turbo. There were two that fit all my specs after a deal on a C8 Corvette blew up that were close to me. I went to look at the first one, but it had sold about thirty minutes prior. The second one was a Towbin motor cars in Las Vegas, I have never met such an arrogant set of jack asses as what was at this dealership. They wanted a credit profile etc before evening setting an appointment which was a week or two out. I was at the store to buy the car that day. I finally was pissed enough that I logged into my personal bank account at their door and showed them above seven figures that was in it that day! The GM then decided they could help me way too late!
So after all of this mess I had contacted Renegade Conversions which were nice and helpful on the phone, but had a long wait. I was still researching on the LS conversion kits. After seeing here that Chavis Performance was recommended to do a conversion as well. I decided to contact them to do some research and figure out which was better, all I was met with was attitude and my actual questions not being answered. These are the facebook correspondence with them.
This is where I come now to look, and didn't realize that for a private person to post a WTB thread with Rennlist you have to pay for a member ship. Well I am not doing that, I can understand that for vendors, but not for a private party how stupid! I am now just going to send my 996 to auction and NEVER consider another P-Car again. I have multiple Corvettes that smoke any 911 for performance. There is a reason that there is a lot more of them out there.
Later.

What was so hard about backing out 2 screens and checking the phone number on google. Give the man a break lol.
I always feel a phone call voice to voice can produce a much clearer dialogue. Texting about a project of this caliber might not be the best platform?
Sorry about your frustration though, good luck man.

I think you've done the Porsche community a huge favor by leaving. From your messages I wouldn’t want to do business with you in any way, shape or form.

This thread is a poster child for having a mute function on Rennlist.

First you're acting like a spoiled child who wants to have everyone he interacts wtih kiss his rear just because he is a potential customer. Good luck with that. Second, you treated the owner like crap. He can dictate into his phone so don't assume he is typing and he wanted you to do a little homework, but that was asking too much because again, you want your butt kissed.. Everyone on here agrees with this sentiment. It's not all of us, its you. Deal. Go away.
