Default 997.1 How to Jack?

Greetings everyone,

I'm in need of your help. I'd like to have my lobster claws refinished, which requires I raise the car and remove the wheels. Normally, I'd do this on my friends hydraulic lift, but, as this wheel refinishing process is likely to take two weeks, I don't have this option. I've never jacked up the car before. I know there are spots on the body, near each wheel, made for lifting; however, once I raise the car off the ground, under where do I place the jack stands, safely? And, how should I start, at the front or the back?

Any and all advice appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Here's a thread about jacking the 997: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-securely.html

I bought a set of Liftbars, and they work great: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...got-a-set.html

All 4 corners of the car's side skirts will have a jacking point, a jack pad is recommended but not required if you have a round flat pad (bigger than the hole on the jack point)

+997 on the liftbars. I also have a quick jack. Liftbars are the best most economical option, and honestly, it is faster to get the car in the air with the liftbars than it is with the quick jack, by the time I pull everything out and hook it all up.
