Default Leather Care

So the side of the drivers seat looks like shown below. It is not cracked and I would like to keep it that way. What product should I use? The color of the interior is black.

Swissvax. Expensive. But it's the best out there.

Just from that picture, your whole seat needs care. The swissvax will return it to the soft matte finish it left the factory with.

Ammo NYC makes a great leather cleaner and conditioner - also not cheap, but does a great job. Have used on my 997 for 6 years and the seats still look great.

To restore those micro cracks, Urad is terrific and easy to apply (black color here). Like magic, holds up:
Amazon Amazon

Otherwise, Lexol for keeping leather conditioned:
Amazon Amazon

Lexol makes a cleaner too if you need that.

Thanks guys. I actually clean and condition the leather probably twice a month as it is my daily driver. I use Lexol cleaner/conditioner, but as you can see it is not cutting it. I will check out those other products. Thanks.

doclouie I used to do all of the steaming, cleaning, conditioning etc on my cars leather then I came upon this product: https://www.drleather.com/leather-cleaner

No affiliation, but explains how modern automotive leathers are made and how to protect them. I’ve been using their products for quite a few years now with great results and the interior leather really does return to being OEM, mat in color, not “grippy” and with a new leather smell too!

You can see the difference in color on my black interior and how mat it becomes. I’ve also attached a 50/50 picture of my wife’s Jan 2020 Mini to see how much it cleans the leather with not a lot of elbow grease.

Expensive is right. The conditioner alone is $60 for 8 ounces. The cost of the cleaner adds to this. How much better than Lexol can this be to justify the price?

I know the Swiss don't screw around with anything they make, but the pricing really is ridiculous.

Meguiars has a professional cleaner and conditioner product. It's a real thick slick cream, the best I've ever seen and way cheaper as it comes in a gallon.

I use it a few times a year and once a month or so I use the chemical guys quick leather detailer. Keeps a rich look and moisturizes. I have cooled seats so i think It's a different type leather or finish texture to it.

They have a small kit, I bought form maybe 60-80 bucks. Cleaned both my P-Cars a couple times.

The Urad restores the color to the cracked areas, FYI. It's not a conditioner / cleaner. It's like a shoe polish but with wax additive. Blending was easy.

At $16 I really recommend it.

I’ve been using Zaino cleaner and conditioner on my seats with great results, Also leaves a new Car Porsche Smell behind. It’s a product that’s been around for a while.

I like the Pinnacle brand cleaner/conditioner from autogeek, but I would maybe start with the URAD to restore the color, then condition the seats.

I have been using Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil (on Amazon for about $32 for 16 oz) on my 2009 911s with full leather. I bought the car new and apply this product with a new small sponge, wiping off what does not soak in after a minute. Three or four treatments a year keeps the leather looking like new at 46K miles. I am sure the others work in a like manner, but I like the price of this product and a bottle lasts about three years.
As an aside, full leather looks great, but after spending many hours treating the yards of leather my old M5 and my 911, my next car may just have leather seats and dash...

That's pretty damn impressive.
