Glad I found this thread... and my apologies if this is a thread hijack. My old clear stone guards are faded/yellowed/cracked/chipped all to hell on my 07 C2. Quick question... how do I get the old mess off, without screwing it up in the way that lead to this thread!

Best method seems to be a combination of heat and steam, but there aren't any guarantees.

My car is an 05. The right side that I had to replace came off in small slivers. I did follow other members advise and bought a steamer. When I went to remove the drivers side I literally picked the top w/ my finger & I pulled it off w/ the sticky glue all at once.

On the flip side installing them was quite easy & I am a very inexperienced.

Magnetic in matte black. They do hold on to brake dust, so i wash them last when washing the car
