Default Opinion on asking price on Used 997

Hi, I am new to the forum and am hoping that you can help me out. I have my eye on two 997s, one is a 2010 Turbo with 9400 miles, asking price $97500 and the other is a 2012 Turbo S 8550 miles, asking price $111,600 both are two owner vehicles with less than 10k miles and are being sold by an independent family owned Porsche dealer. The dealer is well respected and only buys and sells mint or highly sought after Porsches.

Could you please take a look at the attached build sheets, which includes the current mileage and asking price and let me know if they are fairly price or if I can go in with a lower offer without offending him and jeopardizing future negotiations.

Thanks in advance,
Mat

I tried to buy a 17k '10 tt pdk for 95k CPO w/171k MSRP and it sold in a day a few weeks ago. Look around at other online sales for some context.

You'll have access to more knowledgeable folks for that market on the 997 Turbo forum.

Nice build on the 2010 TT. The options list is solid (sport chrono, PDK, torque vectoring, centerlocks, cornering headlights, adaptive sport seats) which were all standard on the TTS in 2011. The only major TTS item missing is ceramic brakes. I've got a 2010 TT cab with a nearly identical build and couldn't be happier.

Check out this thread over in the 997 turbo forum, Jeff Jones did an amazing job collecting and plotting the 997.2 turbo asking prices about six months ago. They have not changed much from what i can tell.

Good luck with the search. The 997.2 TT is an incredible car, you won't be disappointed.
