Ironman88,

My GTS was under CPO when I had these services done in Roseville CA. Both Pentosin FFL-3 and Mobilube PTX are Porsche approved fluids. The dealer didn't blink when I handed the fluids to them. If they install the fluids without objection they bear at least some responsibility. Just call in advance to see if they are willing to use the fluids before you purchase them. I had a Porsche dealer install the wrong transmission fluid in my 6 speed transmission. If I bring the fluid, I know exactly what they are installing. Paying $60 - $75 for a liter of fluid is just not something I am willing to do. Just cheap I guess...

I had them change the differential fluid in 2018 for $90.00. I provided the 3 liters of Mobilube PTX. If the dealer is willing to use the fluids you provide, you can save quite a lot.

My Indy's charge rate for the fluid was less than $30/liter for PDK Clutch and Trans fluid so I think it's a minimal premium to work with a well respected Indy who doesn't do work if they don't supply the parts/fluids as well as the convenience.

Obviously, if you have a really good Indy who will allow you to bring your own components, that's great.

That Roseville dealer is the one that hadn't done a PDK fluid change when I called a year and a half ago. I use Midtown now. Niko is excellent and very customer centric.

They can only get about 3.5 litres out of the pdk via the drain plug. There is oil in the clutch, cooler and lines that is left in the pdk during a drain and fill. You should only be charged for 4 litres. Ask the Service advisor to ask the technician how much oil was actually used.

My dealer stated that I will be the first at this dealership to get the PDK fluid change. This service is not due till next year but as I'm a bit overdue for the clutch oil change it saves some labour by doing them both at the same time.
Neil, that is strange as they did mine about 2 or 3 years ago........unless you have moved dealers.

Same dealer Doug, new service managers. Quote : (PDK Transmission oil replaced -180 K or 12 years- $356.30 + tax ) Since my 09 is currently 11 yrs old it would be one of the first to have this service done ( a year early )

I was charged 10 L transmission oil @ $ 33.29 per L for transmission fluid change, and charged 3L @ $ 47.35 per L for PDK Clutch Fluid Change.

Fortunate that I asked for a quote late last Fall as the re -quoted pricing this Springtime was up $ 400.00 ? The fluid count seems "inaccurate" but justified to equal the cost quoted....

Upon completion of the PDK transmission fluid and clutch fluid service they would not clear the "service now" icon on the dash. So you know who I was going to call......................I talked to them and they told me to bring it in and they will clear the code no charge.

That transmission oil charge seems off. My indy did mine in 2018 and it only required 4L.

You may of had the clutch fluid change in the transmission. The 10L as noted in my recent bill was for the transmission fluid change every 12 yrs

Nope, did mine early. 3.5L for PDK Clutch, 4L for Trans/Gear Fluid.

My indy didn’t do the pan/filter at 60k and now I kinda regret it. It’s like $200 more? I say make them do it. Just for the peace of mind. It’s true that it’s not necessary. But since it’s not something we can DIY I say have them do it while they’re down there
