Default throttle bodies

Is there any advantage to changing to a larger throttle body, say 82mm like a gt3
for a 3.8l Engine???? I s there any HP/TQ gain???? I have a 2011 Carrera S, cab.
Can you give me a link to where I can find one???

That video says no benefits on the 3.6. Many say the 3.8 benefits, it comes on the dfi engine,... so I dunno. Not gonna hurt. But perhaps not help.

all 997.2 already have the larger 82mm throttle body of the GT3 as standard from the factory.

Unless you also change the airbox to have a larger opening on the outlet, going from a smaller aperture (airbox) to a larger one (GT3 throttle body) actually slows down the Velocity at which the air is moving. If you think about the improvements that a ram air effect has by increasing the Velocity at which the air is moving, I believe this has the opposite effect so although it can allow more total air through, those gains are offset by the air going slower. I don't think that mod is worth the money. I think you see better gains by changing to the stock side ipd plenum that keeps the air velocity up but makes it less turbulent inside the plenum from the Y design instead of the OEM T design.
