Is VINANALYTICS.COM ever wrong? Urgent question
I'm negotiating in a 2007 turbo coupe and the pictures of the car dpn't match the build sheet by a longshot. No crests in headrest, wrong color interior, wrong transmission, ect
It's a dealer though not a Porsche dealer. Something stinks.

Vin search results can display different and sometimes conflicting options, but VINANALYTICS.COM is generally fairly accurate. You can test it by entering your current car, or one you owned to see for yourself.

Maybe the online team accidentally put in the wrong vin for the listing, would not be the first time someone confused 911 models in a listing.

If running last 4 or 5, there could be several turbos with same last 4 or 5 Vin numbers. Scan list and pick a different one. If running full Vin, I would be worried about legitimacy of the photos more than Vin analytics information even though I am sure there could be errors there as well, just less likely.

I would have someone at your local Porsche dealer pull up a build sheet. I would think it would take less than 5 minutes and they would do it for customer relations. Especially if you have current cars serviced there.
I wouldn't take vinanalytics as gospel but it seems to have been pretty reliable when I was looking for a Porsche.

As we know now if you read the other thread, the whole deal was a scam. An amazing, comprehensive scam, where Russian took the name and address of an actual dealer in business for 30 years and made a fake website. www.elvochitoautos.com
