I have a few scratches and chips on the plastic flip top that covers the cigarette lighter and would like to refinish it. Any suggestions on the correct product and refinishing tips?
Thanks, Perdido

Take a look at this thread. The soft touch paint scratches super easy after all these years...

If the rest of your console is in good shape, you could just replace the ashtray assembly (comes with the exterior door) rather than disassembling / repainting everything.

thanks, since the rest of the interior and console lid is covered in leather I’ve requested a quote on covering the console. eBay has lots of used consoles that would be candidates for covering and I might give it a try myself since I do my own LBC leather upholstery.
