Default Bore Scoring AFTER Warmup

Genuinely just curious, if an engine has bore scoring, and you can hear it at startup...can you still hear it after the engine warms up?

The piston rocking, once bad enough, can be heard at all times. FSI, has this well documented on their series on bore scoring.

At early onset it may only be audible when cold, or just after start up.. I have heard some that were initially quiet and then after 45 seconds the tick would start, but then stop as temp reaches 140F.

Put simply, if you hear the tick, it's time for a sump and spark plug accessed bore scope evaluation.

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I've caught the typical BS paranoia that seems to be going around. I took this video after my car had sat for about an hour. Phone is initially under the passenger side of the engine, then briefly moved to the drivers side. Flame away! (2007 C2S factory X51, 56k mi)

I heard more while the engine was on the starter, than after it fired up.. The uneven starting tells me that chamber filling is down on one or more cylinders. Pull the DME relay and post a video of the engine turning over on the started for 5-7 seconds continuously. This uneven sound screams that the starter is seeing unequal load from various cylinders due to their chamber filling...

I heard a few ticks, enough that I'd pull the sump and bore scope it from the bottom side.
